Kumal Saul is a legendary GI-tagged heritage rice of Assam famous for its zero-cook convenience. Processed through traditional steeping and drying methods, these soft grains expand and soften within 15–20 minutes of soaking in lukewarm water or milk. Traditionally served during Bihu with jaggery, curd (doi), or cream (malai).
